I did have a rocky start to my own education, however, and, due to personal reasons, was forced to get my GED in high school. I was in my senior year at the time and I received a score on the GED that was in the top 1% of all test takers. I also had a rough time getting through community college. What should’ve been a two-year degree took me almost six, but I persevered and graduated with a 3.8 GPA and with two math degrees, an AS-T in Mathematics and an AA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Mathematics and Science, both from Mt. San Jacinto College in San Jacinto, California. They are both shown below. I graduated with distinction and was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I also obtained a CRLA Level 1 Tutor Certificate from MSJC in Spring of 2018, which helped me begin my tutoring career. Currently, I am working on applying to a university and am going to major in Computer Science during the next chapter of my life. I have been tutoring for over 5 years now as I started in fall of 2018. During that time I have helped many children and adults become better at mathematics.
